Our experienced staff are trained in pharmaceutical science and are passionate about compounding.
|Ben Eshelby B.Pharm., Dip.Form.Chem. (BCP Director)
Ben founded Border Compounding Pharmacy to address the needs of those whose pharmacy requirements were not being met by commercially available products. His passion is compounding – a pharmacist’s traditional activity – and the associated ‘outside the square’ thinking required to solve complex pharmaceutical challenges. Ben is a registered pharmacist with over 15 years of experience in three countries. He is also a qualified formulating chemist with specialist training in the formulation of personal care products. He has a particular interest in nutrigenomics and the use of individualised supplements to reduce the incidence of chronic diseases. When he’s not in the compounding lab, he can generally be found adventuring with his wife in the local Australian high country.
|Lee McLoughlan B.Pharm., Cert.Adv.Cos.Sci. (BCP Director)
Lee’s passion is for personalised health care, friendly service and professional advice — the traditional role of a community pharmacist. He has over 15 years of experience working as a registered pharmacist in both community and hospital pharmacies throughout Australia and Ireland. Seeking a greater challenge, he joined BCP and completed training in the formulation of cosmetic products. Outside of work, Lee is kept busy by his two boys, his keen interest in sports, and his love of swimming and basketball.
|Adam Brymora B.Pharm.(Hons.), Ph.D.
Adam is a pharmacist and scientist who has worked in community pharmacy, medical research and for the Australian Government. He brings years of laboratory, scientific and regulatory experience to BCP, and relishes the challenges, precision and variety inherent in pharmaceutical compounding. Adam is also a parent of two, a writer, an illustrator, a vegetable gardener, a sourdough baker and a fine dinner cook.
|Raquel Gehrig B.S.Pharmacy (Philippines), Cert III Dispense Tech., Certificate Pharmaceutical Compounding
Raquel relishes the technical aspects and challenges of compounding different dosage forms. She enjoys helping people and derives great satisfaction from witnessing the positive health outcomes that occur from the creation of quality, compounded medications. She obtained a Bachelor of Pharmacy in the Philippines and has been working as a pharmacy technician in Australia since 1994. She has completed specialist compounding training and brings to BCP a wealth of dispensary management skills. Raquel lives in Albury with her husband and two children – which keeps her busy when not compounding!
|Jo Wilkie Cert.Compound.Tech.|
Jo is a compounding technician with over four years of community pharmacy experience, including in Webster Pak and Dosette medication aids. Seeking greater challenges, she completed specialist compounding training before commencing at BCP and commencing further study in compounding. She has a great interest in health and fitness, and is also a qualified Personal Trainer. Outside of work, she enjoys keeping active and adventuring (mountain biking, kayaking, etc.).
|Joanne Brymora B.Sc.(Hons.)
Joanne is a compounding technician with over 15 years experience conducting brain and liver research and working for the Australian Government. She thrives on the daily challenges of the compounding pharmacy, and makes the efficient running of the compounding laboratory her priority. She has two children and enjoys cycling.
